Potentially the most fundamental aspect of good health is finding an exercise that you enjoy and can do consistently and inexpensively. Several studies have highlighted the beneficial health effects of simply walking, an activity that only requires a good pair of shoes. We in the Pacific Northwest are especially lucky to live in an area with many outdoor options for walkers and hikers to get their miles in. From the Willamette Waterfront to Mt. Tabor to Forest Park, one could literally walk a different trail every day of the month.

 

At over 5000 acres, Forest Park contains more than 70 miles of trails for hikers, runners, bicyclists, and equestrians of all abilities. You might even see a couple of us from the Synergy team out there getting our exercise!
